Jose Mourinho's Job At Inter Is Safe
Jose Mourinho's tenure at Inter is not linked to success in the Champions League. That's the message from chief executive Ernesto Paolillo, who has rejected claims the 'Special One' would be ousted in light of European failure.
"I don't see any reasons why we should change coach. We are happy, top of the league, why would we want to question our coach," Paolillo told the press.
Critics have reminded the Nerazzurri that Mourinho was the man chosen to win Inter the Champions League, but the Italian played down the hype. Paolillo made it clear that the blame would not fall on the coach if he fails to deliver the trophy.
"The European Cup is important to us, but we know how difficult it can be to reach that objective. Only the best teams around Europe can win it.
"Therefore we cannot hold our coach ransom to success. We are all in it together," he concluded.
