Manchester United should have scored more than three against Wolves - Patrice Evra

Patrice Evra is not happy with Manchester United's display against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday evening.

Sir Alex Ferguson's side may have won 3-0, but the Frenchman feels that the possibility was there to score a hatful and boost the side's goal difference.

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy named a controversial second-string side for the fixture and Evra thinks that United did not fully exploit the opportunity given to them.

"I was not happy to only score three goals," said Evra.
"We respect Wolves but we should have done better.

"The goal difference is important and, in a game like that, we should have won by five or six."

Meanwhile, Evra hopes that the injury situation at United soon improves. The Red Devils have been fielding patched-up back fours in recent fixtures and Evra knows that the situation cannot contnue for long.

"The injuries are getting worse," he mused.

"I have told everyone they need to go to church every day and pray.

"It is a difficult time that's for sure. But the squad is strong enough and thankfully, we have some players like Michael Carrick and Darren Fletcher who can play at the back."
