Manchester United's Paul Scholes cautious of Liverpool

Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes is cautious of a rebounding Liverpool ahead of Sunday's clash at Anfield.

Liverpool have lost four games and will undoubtedly be keen to revive their season with a win at home against United.

"Obviously they’re going through a bit of a sticky patch at the moment but they’d be looking at this game as an opportunity to turn things around," Scholes told United's club website.

"In fact, it’s probably the perfect game for them to try and bounce back from the problems they’ve had."

Scholes does not believe the Reds' current form will dictate the final result, however he remains confident United can travel to Anfield and steal three points from their arch-rivals.

"United-Liverpool is a massive fixture and it’s always difficult, especially at Anfield in front of their fans. Liverpool are a good team and not many sides pick up good results there."

"That said, we’ve done quite well there over the years. We got beaten last season but apart from that we’ve come away with some good wins and we hope to get another on Sunday."

He concluded: "If we concentrate on ourselves and play well then we can get the right result."
